The Midnight Plan of the Repo Man

W. Bruce Cameron

Ruddy McCann is a repo man---he repossesses cars and trucks. One would call his methods a tad sleazy, sneaking into people’s residences or places of work to steal their cars back for the financer. Ruddy is a former football player for Michigan; good enough to have been nominated for the Heisman trophy. From glory to repos---what a downfall.

Ruddy has a sister who owns an unprofitable bar with a group of wacky characters who come in on a regular basis. He tries to help his sister financially by giving her the money from his repos, but the bar is somewhat of a money pit. Recently, Ruddy dreamed he was killed. Since that time, he's been hearing a voice whose name is Alan who claims to have been killed and wants Ruddy to help him find the killer.

The Midnight Plan of the Repo Man is a fun read that keeps the reader wondering. How did he go from star to repo man? Who is Alan and where did he come from? Written in a tongue-in-cheek first person, Repo Man provides insight to human behavior, chuckles, and a mystery at the same time.
