Cam Chalton, Viscount of Marwood, finds the temptations of Society life to be growing stale, except for the attractions of the theater. Most members of the ton attend performances merely to see and be seen, but Cam's love of the theater causes him to hang on every word and react with irritation when his friends talk over the dialogue. He loves Mrs. Delamere's burlettas best of all, and he finds her as fascinating as her work.
Maggie has fought from humble beginnings to get where she is, but now she lives in fear because of writer's block. How will she support herself if the Muse never returns? She has no time for the distraction of Cam, especially because he is of the nobility. She knows not to trust any of them.
Eva Leigh follows up last month's Forever Your Earl with this delightful, vibrant tale. Cam is a wonderful hero, but it's Maggie who truly captivated this reader, and her reasons for resisting the relationship resonate with truth.

Daniel Balfour, the Earl of Ashford, is seeking Jonathan, his best friend. Jonathan has not been the same since he went to war, and he has now disappeared after descending into ever more seedy locations. Ashford has failed his friend, and he must make amends by locating him for Jonathan's desperate sister. He formulates a plan to find his friend. He will co write a series of articles designed to lure him out into the open, and goes to the owner/editor of The Hawk's Eye to put this plan into motion.
Ashford is shocked to discover that E. Hawke is Eleanor, as he never considered a woman to be in this position. They are surprised by their reaction to each other. Eleanor finds Ashford to be a man of unexpected depth. But as the series of articles does not result in finding Jonathan, they realize their passion can go nowhere because of the difference in their stations.
Eva Leigh's writing is glorious, and her characters captivating. Readers will look forward to more of "The Wicked Quills of London" series.
