Steph Healy used to be a cage fighter, but now, as she nears thirty, her body is beginning to break down so she quits and looks forward to settling down somewhat.  Her dream is a life of financial security so she hopes to date doctors and lawyers who never have to struggle from paycheck to paycheck. She does not want another working‑class guy like Patrick Doherty, the incompetent electrician who is hazardous to her health!

Patrick isn’t usually this clumsy, but Steph makes him nervous, and he keeps having little accidents around her, hurting her almost every time. He’s always been a straight shooter, and he makes his feelings clear. She does as well so he knows he has little chance of anything more than sex with her. But he has to keep trying.

Fantasy men are fun, but sometimes it’s a treat to read about a hero you could actually meet in your neighborhood. Patrick is that hero. He is adorably honest, awkwardly sweet, and devastatingly sexy, as well as a mind‑blowing lover. Readers will love watching Steph slowly lower her guard to Patrick and appreciate the honesty from both lead characters.

Lindsey Tuttle and Rich Estrada very nearly got together one night, but a late night text stopped their passion in its tracks. Then Rich left to build his MMA fighting career. He is on the road to success when he breaks his foot. This sends him back to Boston for his rehab. Rich feels useless, for he needs every dollar for his mother's costly health issues.

Lindsey spent years in an on again/off again relationship. It was off that night in the cab, but Rich was told otherwise. Now her relationship is off for good, but she can’t afford to move out of their shared apartment, making for some awkward times. Then Lindsey's younger sister runs away from home and lands on her doorstep, so finding a new apartment is now on the top of her list. Rich finds her an apartment, which happens to be right above his family's place. As he helps her with her sister, their attraction finally explodes.

Meg Maguire's second title in her MMA series is another thrilling ride. Readers don’t need to be fans of the sport (this reviewer isn’t) to enjoy these books. Rich may not be everyone's type, but he’s perfect for Lindsey, and readers really get a sense of his irresistible magnetism, as well as his emotionally complex inner landscape.

Jenna Wilinski is back in Boston because of her inheritance from her long-estranged and not much liked father. She plans to open a franchise of Spark, an upscale, old-fashioned matchmaking company. First she needs to close down the mixed martial arts gym that’s in the basement. It’s a painful reminder of her crooked boxer father and having black-and-blue bruisers around will totally ruin the ambience.

Jenna's father kept Mercer Rowley on the straight and

narrow, and now he runs the gym as well as trains promising fighters. When he hears he has until the end of the year to make the struggling gym successful, it’s a real kick in the gut. But

Jenna's and Mercer's close proximity breeds a strong attraction that is as irresistible as it is ill-advised.

Readers, this is a must-read even if you would never watch an MMA match. Jenna is a compelling heroine, but Mercer is the main attraction. He is heart-melting, luscious hero material.

Also, Meg Maguire gives readers a totally authentic feel for Boston. Don’t miss it!

For years now Kate Somersby has been personal assistant, crew and a generally indispensable person for Dom Tyler, who hosts a survival show. They have filmed in many extreme locations, and for their latest adventure they are in the snowy wilds of Saskatchewan, where they will be filming with sled dogs. Kate and Ty share a sizzling attraction and an intimate friendship, but have never fully crossed the line into lovers.

Kate is an absolute control freak, which well suits Ty's secretly indecisive nature. His daredevil compulsions are driven by a devastating childhood trauma, and when an accident separates them from most of their equipment and leaves Kate slightly injured, Ty makes a snap decision to not allow her in the field any more. The emotional repercussions of this choice reverberate through the rest of the tale, and while their relationship grows and changes, it might not survive in these harsh conditions.

Lucky readers will discover a marvelous new author when they pick up Meg Maguire's debut. Her deft hand at characterization, fresh, yet timely, setting and smoldering love scenes will lure readers to frantically turn the pages to the dramatic climax.
