Morgan Kelly~~4 1/2 and 5 Star Reviews
Stonecross Hall has always been the house of Laura Dearborn's dreams, and she is stunned to learn that the house truly exists. She has inherited it from Alaric Storm, a man who died before she was even born. How could he know that she would even exist? Still, the inheritance will save her from her work of dealing with ghosts day in and day out in post WWI London.
Alaric ceased to care about anyone after fighting in the Crimean War and has just let life happen around him ever since. Then he sees a bizarrely dressed woman come to the door and then disappear. Soon Laura and Alaric are able to see each other, even though they are separated by sixty years. They belong together, but how can it be anything but impossible.
This may be a novella, but Morgan Kelly creates a brilliant, full‑bodied experience in a small space with this evocative, eerie tale that perfectly captures its disparate eras with deft skill. Readers will thrill to this magical, marvelous tale of destined lovers.
