The Walled Flower

Lorraine Bartlett

Berkley Prime Crime

Mass Market

Katie Bonner went to introduce herself to the new owners of the Victorian house that she had dreamed of owning herself. Grabbing a sledgehammer to help the Ryans, Katie swung it at a wall they wanted demolished. As she continued to swing a few crushing hits the three soon discovered a dead body.

Moments after the police arrived and a crowd had come on the scene, Katie's friend Rose Nash flagged down the sheriff. She believed the body found was her niece Heather whom no one had heard from since she disappeared.

Convinced that the sheriff was not interested in such a cold case, Rose asked Katie to help her. When Heather's friend from school was found dead, Katie knew she had to find answers.
Readers will enjoy the second book in the "Victoria Square Mysteries."  Ms. Bartlett hands her readers a solid, cleverly written crime novel with well‑developed, likeable main characters that hold the interest of the reader.  A bonus with her stories--the mouth‑watering recipes.
