Ali Flores is miserable in her job and ready for a change.
When change comes, it’s truly unexpected. She works in PR, not
modeling, but when she visits her friend who works at a modeling
agency, a man sees her and knows that she is his perfect queen.
Ken Johnson owns a video game company, and their latest
game, Willing Guinevere, must succeed for the company to stay
afloat. He has arranged a tour to promote the game, but one thing
is missing--Guinevere. Then he sees Ali.
It takes some convincing, but she decides to take a leave of
absence from her job to be part of the tour. While on tour she
gains the confidence to perform in a corset and heels, but acting
on her attraction to Ken is more complicated.
Kathy Lyons' latest is a coming-of-age tale of sorts. The
appealingly unusual setting and scorching passion will please
readers whether or not gaming interests them.

Kindergarten teacher Christy Baker is temporarily living at Pearl Harbor, working as a summer tutor for the kids on the base. Tropical Hawaii is a glorious change from Cincinnati, but the best part for Christy is living in a place where no one coddles her because they don’t know about her struggles with chronic joint pain. She hopes to have a summer fling, but a fabulous erotic dream will work in the meantime, especially because she feels no pain when she’s in her dreams. Then she wakes up and discovers that the object of her dream is right next door-- man she’s never met.
Jason White is a marine whose last mission ended in an IED explosion. His body is healing, but his mind is slower to return to normal. He cannot remember a crucial piece of information that can save lives, and until he can, he’s stuck in a perpetual loop of nightmares and punishing workouts. Christy is the hottest woman he’s ever seen, but his craving for her cannot be satisfied until he remembers the end of his mission. And then there’s the fact he can’t admit that they’ve been sharing dreams since before they met.
Kathy Lyons' latest is riveting reading that could cause readers to miss their bedtime. Detailed, empathetic characters mix with a fascinating plot and sizzling sex to make one extraordinary tale.Heather Nordahl Files

Two years ago, Dr. Amber Smithson resigned from her job at the prestigious Mandolin Clinic. She was increasingly using new‑age techniques to help patients, and when one of them died, she felt at fault, even though it was another doctor's irresponsible action that killed the patient. Now she's in Chicago working wonders with raw food and energy work, but she's nearly broke. She needs a challenge, which leads her to a bet, and Roger Martell.
Roger has a high‑stress job and a family history of high blood pressure that caused early heart attacks for family members. He has changed his diet and tried every medication known to the medical establishment, but nothing has worked. Something needs to change. He meets Amber, then spends some sizzling time with her in a stalled elevator. Then he learns Amber can help him with his hypertension, and though he's not a fan of her methods (a diet of nothing but raw vegetables; meditation; and a forced vacation), he wants to make sure she stays in his life.
Kathy Lyons' latest may be a sequel, but reading Taking Care of Business is not required to enjoy this fabulous and sometimes unusual read‑‑how many of us would be willing to switch to Roger and Amber's diet? Unlike a radical change in diet, this book is hard to resist.

Julie Thompson is fighting to save her failing business, but that fight is taking the life out of her. Her business partner is pushing her to have a fling, but how can she think of sex when she's about to head home to Nebraska with her tail between her legs? She does have her strange elevator flirtation with the building's handyman who turns her on like no one she's known, so more of the same would be amazing.
Though she doesn't know it, Sam Finn is no ordinary handyman. In fact, he is the CEO of the robotics firm on the top floor of Julie's office building. He's something of a nerd genius and very shy, but Julie takes him out of his shell. They act out some stunningly hot sexual scenarios, but Julie insists they not try a relationship because she'll be leaving so soon. It seems like a perfect interlude, but love and lies complicate the situation.
As in her last book, Kathy Lyons features a couple that uses fantasy to escape reality, only to actually enhance their reality instead. As per usual with this kind of story, Sam's secret is kept for far too long, but the characters‑‑and the sizzling sex‑‑ will keep readers happily turning the pages.
