Sofie Kelly~~4 1/2 and 5 Star Reviews
Kathleen Paulson and her friends were supposed to meet someone at the community center. The next morning while they were having breakfast at the local restaurant, a body was found in the alley. It was Agatha Shepherd, their beloved, retired principal. People suspected that she had passed away from another stroke, but a more detailed look at the body showed she had been brutally murdered.
A steady‑paced, purrrfectly written story with great characters and an exceptional mystery, this is one of the best in a series available to readers.
Kathleen Paulson, the proud owner of two very independent and unique cats, is a small town librarian who finds herself a suspect in a murder investigation. She did not want to become the single lady who talked to her cats, but they sure did listen as if they understood her.
Searching for a friend who would help do work around the library, she stopped by the theatre and, instead of finding her friend, she stumbled upon a dead body‑‑the cantankerous man she had recently argued with at the library. When the detective started making her feel as if she were a prime suspect, Kathleen decided she would do some investigating herself, of course with the help of her unique and resourceful cats.
Two words, (in a singsong voice) Love It!
