Sarah Mayberry~~ 4 1/2 and 5 Star Reviews
Harlequin Blaze #566
Elizabeth Mason will be getting married soon, but she's getting cold feet. Does she really love Martin, or is she just letting herself get swept along by what her grandparents want? Since the death of her parents, she has allowed her decisions to be swayed to keep her grandparents happy. When she sees that her birth certificate lists a name she's never seen under "father," she realizes it's time to please herself and learn who she really is. The quest for answers takes her to Phillip Island in Victoria, Australia.
When Elizabeth knocks on Nathan Jones' door, he is not in the mood for visitors. Since a horrible accident six months before, he has retreated into his small world, using alcohol to keep the nightmares at bay. But something about stiff, high‑class Elizabeth gets to him, and he begins to pursue her. To the surprise of both of them, she responds to him. But it cannot last while Nathan is so broken inside.
Sarah Mayberry is blessed with a remarkable ability to create characters with richly complex inner worlds. While Nathan's journey is heart‑wrenching, Elizabeth's is no less intriguing, and readers will be absorbed from first page to last.
