Bouchercon World Mystery Convention

Bouchercon is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization which holds an annual convention in honor of Anthony Boucher, the distinguished mystery fiction critic, editor and author. The convention brings together all parts of the mystery and crime fiction community: readers, writers, publishers, editors, agents, booksellers and other lovers of crime fiction.


Colorado Gold Conference

Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers The conference typically hosts over 60 writer workshops, 5 master classes and visiting agents and editors.


Decatur Book Festival, Decatur, GA

Atlanta Journal-Constitution Decatur Book Festival is an annual, free book festival that takes place over Labor Day weekend in Decatur, Georgia at several venues located in and around the downtown Decatur Square. Authors give readings, talks, and panel discussions. The event is free and open to the public.


HippoCamp: A Conference for Creative Nonfiction Writers

Hippocampus Magazine is an online publication set out to entertain, educate and engage writers and readers of creative nonfiction. The three-day conference includes breakout sessions, panels, readings, networking time, social events and optional add-on workshops and pitch sessions.


HWA Conference

Historical Writers of America The conference features workshops for fiction and nonfiction, research, the submission process, the road to publication, networking opportunities including a keynote luncheon and dinner, theme receptions, and collaboration and brain-storming sessions. 


ACFW Annual Conference

American Christian Fiction Writers Workshops for writers are designed with five different experience levels in mind.  The event includes Early Bird and Post Conference sessions.

ASJA 46th Annual Writers Conference

The American Society of Journalists and Authors More than 80 workshops and panels, this conference is geared toward non-fiction and fiction freelance writers.

21st Century Children’s Nonfiction Conference

Initiated by Lionel Bender of Bender Richardson White (UK), the conference is designed for authors, writers, illustrators, artists, educational/magazine/nonfiction publishers, and book creation houses.  The goal is to provide opportunities to find work, build business connections, and to use skills and creativity to create great nonfiction products for children. 


Printers Row Lit Fest

Chicago Tribune The Printers Row Lit Fest is considered the largest free outdoor literary event in the Midwest, drawing 125,000 book lovers to the two-day showcase.  More than 200 booksellers from across the country display new, used, and antiquarian books, and more than 200 authors participate in panels, discussions and a variety of other programs. 


IDPF DigiCon

International Digital Publishing Forum IDPF DigiCon is for executives and professionals in the publishing industry.  Topics include retail, education, online communities, international, mobile, data, websites, content (ebook) usage, digital platforms, EDUPUB, EPUB 3 as well as audio formats, accessible publishing, subscription (domestic and international), data, interactive fiction, rights and licensing.


The SC Book Festival

The Humanities Council of South Carolina The festival presents authors, poets, and scholars to the readers and writers of South Carolina free of charge.  Workshops are also available for a fee. 


 The Write Stuff Writers Conference

Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group The conference features interactive sessions with authors, editors and agents.


 Aloha Romance Writer Rendezvous

Rachel Daven Skinner This retreat is limited to ten romance authors, offering an opportunity to write in an idyllic retreat setting plus three available workshops with professional editors.
