Sunrise Crossing

“Thomas (Rustler’s Moon) does an amazing job of creating and connecting multiple story lines. This tale will grab readers, who will fall in love with the main characters and be just as enamored of the others.

Library Journal STARRED review for Lone Heart Pass

SUNRISE CROSSING, the fourth title in the six-book Ransom Canyon series by New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Jodi Thomas. The sweeping drama, and the story of a rugged hero and mysterious heroine set against the beautiful Texas landscape,

will delight fans of Western romance.

Yancy Grey is slowly putting his life back together after serving time for petty theft. As he rebuilds an old house, he finally has a sense of stability, but he can't stop thinking of himself as just an ex-con. Until one night, he finds a mysterious dark-haired beauty hiding in his loft. But who is she, and what secret is she protecting?

The art gallery Parker Lacey manages is her life—she has no time for friends, and certainly not lovers. But when her star artist begs Parker for help, she finds herself in a pickup truck, headed for the sleepy town of Crossroads. A truck driven by a strong, silent cowboy…

Gabe Snow has been a drifter since he left Crossroads at seventeen after a violent incident. When he accepts a job in his hometown, he'll have to decide whether he can put the worst night of his life behind him and build a future in the community that raised him.

When I began the Ransom Canyon Series, I knew SUNRISE CROSSING would be Yancy’s story about the old Gypsy House.  So when I

started, Yancy was already whispering his story in my ear.

For me the first sentence in a book sets up the story, draws the reader into a place and time and most important introduces a character to the reader that will come alive in their mind.  In SUNRISE CROSSING I wanted to do just that with Yancy a time in his life when he feels very much alone.

“Yancy Grey walked the midnight streets barely noticing where he was going or caring that winter’s breath still circled in the breeze.  Today was his birthday. Or at least he thought it was.  His mother’s memory had been smothered with pills most of his childhood.   She’d told him she’d filled out the birth certificate a week after he’d been born when she’d finally healed and sobered enough to walk to the clinic.”

Enjoy the journey back to Crossroads, Texas, where love thrives in unlikely places, even for Yancy.

Jodi Thomas

A fifth-generation Texan, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jodi Thomas chooses to set the majority of her novels in her home state, where her grandmother was born in a covered wagon. A former teacher, Thomas traces the beginning of her storytelling career to the days when her twin sisters were young and impressionable.

With a degree in family studies, Thomas is a marriage and family counselor by education, a background that enables her to write about family dynamics. Honored in 2002 as a Distinguished Alumni by Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Thomas enjoys interacting with students on the West Texas A&M University campus, where she currently serves as Writer in Residence.

Commenting on her contribution to the arts, Thomas said, “When I was teaching classes full-time, I thought I was making the world a better place. Now I think of a teacher or nurse or mother settling back and relaxing with one of my books. I want to take her away on an adventure that will entertain her. Maybe, in a small way, I’m still making the world a better place.”

When not working on a novel or inspiring students to pursue a writing career, Thomas enjoys traveling with her husband, renovating a historic home they bought in Amarillo and “checking up” on their two grown sons.

Hi there!

I have a new Indie romance release coming out on 8/2 titled Winter's Path. It's the follow-up to Summer's Road, which released in April. The book is a stand-alone with a HEA, featuring different characters.  Check it out!

★☆Winter's Path★☆

My name is Matt Holcomb, and I'm the good guy. The boy next door. I'm the safe bet and I always do the right thing. Then one night two years ago, I made a terrible mistake that caused irreparable damage, and the guilt is killing me. If I'm ever to make the leap and find love again, the woman would have to be perfect. She can't disrupt my carefully constructed control. I met my best friend Jenny Winter as a teenager and have loved her ever since. She's gorgeous and talented. Her voice could make angels weep. Yet she chose someone else and I swore I'd never fall for her again. Until something happens between us and passion ignites. But she's not the right woman for me, and crossing the line with her would not only change everything, it'll take away the only good thing I have left.  *A stand-alone novel with a HEA*
