Welcome Taryn and thank you for taking the time to chat with us.

Where are you from?

Not too far from the real SLEEPY HOLLOW!

Married/In a relationship? Children? Pets?

Do familiars count?

Do you have another job other than writing?

What is your favorite place to eat?

Any place with a table cloth. Unless I am in the mood for bare table seafood.

Favorite foods?

Take out.

If I came to your home and looked inside the refrigerator, what would I find?

Several unidentifiable objects.

Where do you like to go when you want to run away?

Attending any conventions/conferences this year?

Possibly, but I haven’t registered yet!

Do you have a critique partner?

Do you have a social/political cause you are passionate about?

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Write what you need/want to write and don’t try to follow the market.

Tell us your latest news? Current projects?

I’ll have two new books coming out in early 2015. The first is WOLF’S SONG, a story for Decadent Publishing’s new Black Hills Wolves shifter romance line, which will debut in January. And then I’m taking a foray into contemporary romance with IF YOU CAN’T STAND THE HEAT, a contemporary foodie romance for a new Fated Desires Publishing special line, “Give Me a Taste.”  IF YOU CAN’T STAND THE HEAT releases on February 24 and will be available for pre-order!

Easiest and hardest thing about writing?

Doing it!

What inspired you to write your first book?

As I think most writers will say, I’ve just always written, since I was a little kid and wrote stories about such things as the Itsy Bitsy Spider, astronauts and heroic weathermen who save the day.

What ignites your creativity?

When a hot or fascinating character pops into my head and urges me to tell his story.

What challenges have you faced writing a love story or a specific scene?

Determining who the point of view character should be.

Is your writing area/office organized or strategically placed chaos?

Chaos. Total chaos.

Do you listen to music while you write or do you need complete silence?

Silence is golden.

What author would you like to meet and have a cozy lunch with?

J.R. Ward.

Name one actor/actress you would love to get naughty with? (If you were free to do so)

It would have been George Clooney until very recently. But now he’s a married man. I am totally hooked on the TV series Ray Donovan, though, so I might say Liev Schrieber. Don’t know his marital status, though!

Any life experiences tangled in the storylines?

What books do you have on your favorites shelf?

Over the last few years I’ve tried very hard to cart away the books on my shelves (and also in bags and boxes in the den closet, and rely on my Kindle. So much more compact. Fave romance authors are J.R. Ward, Nalini Singh and Jayne Ann Krentz (under all her pen names).

What book are you reading now?

Otherwise Engaged by Amanda Quick.

Any new authors who have caught your interest?

Most of the authors who write for Decadent Publishing and Fated Desires Publishing and those I know from Facebook and Twitter and have met at conferences over the years. They are unsung gems.

If you could say one thing to the next generation of authors, what would it be?

What would you like to say to your readers?

Thank you!
